Overview: #

Microsoft Speaker Progress, also known as Speaker Progress in Teams, is an exciting tool that complements and builds upon Microsoft Speaker Coach. While Speaker Coach focuses on individual practice and feedback, Speaker Progress takes it a step further by integrating into speaking and presentation assignments for your whole class within Microsoft Teams for Education. Data can then be viewed through the educator dashboards and reports.

How it works: #

For Educators:

  • Structured speaking assignments: Create assignments within Teams, specifying themes, formats (individual or group), and desired presentation lengths.
  • Integrated Speaker Coach: Students use Speaker Coach within the assignment while rehearsing their presentations, leveraging its guidance and feedback.
  • Detailed insights: Get comprehensive data on students’ speaking progress. See metrics like pacing, pitch, filler words, inclusivity, and more, both for individual presentations and across an entire assignment.
  • Progress tracking: Visually track individual and class progress through dashboards and reports, identifying areas where support might be needed.
  • Targeted feedback: Provide personalised feedback based on individual student performance and strengths, tailoring your guidance to specific needs.
