Device Registration – School Issued Devices

It is best practice for Glow users not to register their device against the Glow tenancy. Although it can help reduce the number of prompts for username and password for users, it can be problematic in general and especially on shared devices.  It also impacts device management solutions.

We would strongly recommend reviewing the information at Azure Active Directory device management FAQ – Microsoft Entra | Microsoft Learn which has information about setting a registry key on your school issued/corporate devices which will prevent future registrations on that device against any tenancy.

We would recommend you perform testing locally before applying this setting to your devices.

This will ensure that any device management solutions you are using are not impacted by registration against the Glow tenancy and assist us in reducing the objects in the tenancy.

It will reduce the risk against saved credentials on shared devices.
