- Provides extensions to allow custom features and functionality for the Chrome browser (this includes Chromebooks and signed in browsers).
- Chrome Web Store Extensions can be installed for an entire Google tenant or specifically for Staff and/or Students OUs.
- They can be set to “Allow install”, “Force install” or “Force install + pin to browser toolbar”.
- If a user has NOT opted in to Google Additional Services, and will therefore not have access to the Chrome Web Store, they will NOT have access to an extension unless it is set to Force Install.
- Setting to “Force Install” as a minimum ensures all users will have access to the Extension in their Chrome browser. From here a user can choose to use the extension and some extensions come with the option to pin to the browser toolbar.
- When included in a Chrome Web Store Collection, this will only be visible to users who have opted in to Google Additional Services (Chrome Web Store is a Google Additional Service).
