What’s changing?
You can now create and edit videos in vertical (9:16) and square (1:1) sizes in Google Vids, in addition to the widescreen/horizontal format (16:9) already supported.
These additional sizes will give you more flexibility to create content and export to a variety of platforms that your local authority approve for use within education.

How can I change video size?
- On your computer, open a video in Google Vids.
- In the menu bar, click Video size
.
- Or, at the top, click File
Video size.
- Or, at the top, click File
- From the drop-down menu, select your preferred video size:
- Widescreen (16:9)
- Vertical (9:16)
- Square (1:1)
- Click Apply.
Tip: When you apply the new size, your content automatically adjusts to the new size. But, you might need to manually fine-tune elements.
