Overview:

The 6 month Google Gemini pilot with Argyll & Bute and Clackmannanshire using Google Gemini via Glow with staff has now completed.

Feedback from the pilot was positive, with lots of excellent examples of use being shared within the pilot group.

The team also had the opportunity to work closely with 30 Google Gemini Champion volunteers who agreed to participate in monthly discussions to share feedback and ask questions.

Project:

The AI in Glow Project was delivered by colleagues in Education Scotland and in collaboration with Scottish Government, Local Authorities, Google for Education and External Partners.

The main focus of the work was to address the problem statements below:

How might we…

support ES staff Glow users to use AI tools for content creation, in a way that saves time and effort?
upskill staff Glow users so they understand how to use AI services appropriately, including what kind of prompts support better outcomes?
communicate that AI tools need to be used safely, securely and adhere to Scottish Government policy?
collate and share internal and external feedback and case studies from staff Glow users who are using the AI service?
make it straightforward for The Glow Team to understand how one AI service could be used within Glow before investigating any other possible services?
