Preserve Declined Meetings

Preserve Declined Meetings

What does this mean?

Preserve declined meetings allows users to keep declined meetings on the calendar, instead of deleting.

What are the benefits?

Declined meetings will no longer disappear but remain on the users calendar so that they can easily recollect:

  • related info/docs
  • find associated chats
  • retain the ability to forward the meeting
  • will receive a refreshed invite if the meeting is rescheduled

all while keeping your calendar free in that time slot.

How can I enable this?

Preserve Declined Meetings can only be enabled via Outlook Web App:

Calendar > Settings > Events and invitations > Click the box at the bottom of the screen that says Show declined events > Save (as per screenshot below).
