Glow Blogs offers a range of themes to help you style and personalise your site. To better align with core WordPress functionality and to ensure the security of Blogs we are switching the default editor when creating new Blogs from Classic Editor to Block Editor.
Block editor was introduced in 2018 and to Glow Blogs in 2021. We encourage that new blogs created use the Block Editor. If you are very familiar with the Classic Editor, Block is quite different so it may be a good idea to try it out.
We have quite a variety of resources to help with the Block Editor, including a screencast demonstrating how to quickly create a school website using the site editor. We will be expanding the help over the next few weeks. More information.
We are also changing the default theme for Block editor to Twenty Twenty-Five.
The Twenty Twenty-Five theme is one of the most streamlined options available, helping pages load faster with fewer resources.
You can of course switch back to Twenty Twenty-Three at any time.
Both these changes will NOT impact any existing blogs, only when creating new ones.
There is lot of useful information on themes and switching between them on the Themes Glow Blog Help page.
