G Suite Admin Roles

Three custom admin roles are created in each tenancy to allow for a number of admin functions to be carried out by Glow Customers. This enables a more sustainable level of support by providing Local Authority and Establishment administrators as much control over their domains as possible. The delegated admin roles are:

  • Tenancy Administrator: This role has delegated privileges over the entire tenancy. It will help to reduce to burden on the service desk and improve the end user experience for Glow Customer admins.
  • Establishment Administrator: This role has management of an individual establishment based on the Organisational Unit structure. It will help reduce the burden on Tenancy administrators. In particular around Chrome device management across the school estate and viewing users.
  • Device Administrator: This role has delegated privileges over the entire tenancy. It will help reduce the burden of managing and provisioning Chrome Devices and will only be available to Glow Customers that have purchased Chrome Device Licenses.
